Divergent Thinking is unlimited thinking of many
possibilities. Divergent thinking is
not passive thinking of following the leader.
Divergent thinking empowers the student of life to create outside the box living
and ways of relating to people. Divergent thinking is a process of collaboration that leads to solutions of
empowerment and expediential growth.
By no means is divergent thinking scattered. It is contained within the context of
the situation that evolves and involves the best possibilities and outcomes for all involved. It is an attitude of
enthusiasm and exuberant discovery that a toddler or preschooler enjoys yet you retain this level of love for life
as an adult.
You become a more powerful player in the world.
Creativity and divergent thinking are interdependent. This
creates successful relationships.
To be creative in love and life you must be approach life through divergent
thinking. They have unlimited solutions that apply to different situations. Convergent thinking can be described in
this quote "If all you have is a hammer - everything else is a nail." Meaning - you have very few options in
life. Convergent thinking alone can create dependence on
unhealthy relationships.
Through divergent thinking you have the freedom to think for yourself. To question
the status quo. Create with new ideas and put them into action. Putting them into action does rely
on convergent thinking though. Past experiences are
references that come from convergent thinking that can access past experiences. But to give past experiences new
meaning and new life without generating divergent thinking there can be no shift in consciousness.
